Fiscal Cliff Response

During last year (2012)'s fiscal cliff, Democrats were willing to compromise with Republicans over what was to happen. The democrats wanted taxes to be raised for the upper class and to cut some defend spending. They also want to remove the debt that America has and not continue to raise it. The republicans want to not raise any taxes of any kind but the close loopholes and deductions. Republicans believe that "these (small businesses) businesses employ the majority of Americans and will be the most adversely affected by an increase in tax rates. (CBS)"

I conducted my research by searching 'Republican/Democratic stance on fiscal cliff'. I change the date to anytime in the past year. After that I looked through the titles of the articles and selected those that I thought were a reliable source. After reading the article, I went back and reread lines that I thought were the best answer to Fiscal Cliff problem.
